What's On My Clothing Rack? Spring Edition!

Hello once again! Instead of complaining for the hundredth time about my hate for cold weather, I'll just get right to it. This week I organized my clothing rack and loaded it with everything related to spring. To help me get over all this terrible weather we're having I felt like preparing for spring would make me feel better, although it doesn't look like spring will be here anytime soon.

My clothing rack was purchased from here .

The Key pieces that I have on this rack are my wet seal circle skirt, high neck H&M dress and gingham overalls!

For more info on what clothes I have displayed on my clothing rack click below to watch the YouTube video.

Fall 2014 Wish List

Its been officially fall season for a while now. Sadly I haven't made an fall related posts. While carefully admiring the new fall trends I've gathered up some items (fashion and beauty) that I really need to have for this season. As well as a few new stores that I have been obsessed with lately.

1. Plaid Dress - Gojane.com : Two of my absolute favorite things this year have been the midi dress and plaid. Plaid has surely made a breakthrough this season.

2. Red Satchel - Modcloth.com : The color red is essential for fall. As the seasons progress purses just get smaller and smaller.

3. Faux Fur Vest - HM.com : I'm sure I'm not the only one (hopefully) who thinks of fur and different materials to wear when falls comes around. Fur is definitely need for fall, its chic and keeps you warm.

4. Glasses - Warby Parker.com : It's not a secret that I wear glasses. I'm obsessed with this site and all of their frames. My eyesight is terrible but that doesn't mean that I my eye wear has to be. If my wardrobe is updated for fall, so is my eye wear.

5. Quilted Sneakers - ShopJEEN.com : I feel like last fall, quilted was a really huge trend and it remained. It reminds of the classic Chanel quilted bags. So why not make your sneakers chic too?

6. Marc Jacobs Nail Lacquer - Sephora.com : Your nails shouldn't be left out when it comes to fashion. A must have color for this season is a deep red.

I Do What I Like (My 17th Birthday!)

On Friday March 14 I turned 17! I spent the whole day at home actually. Which was really boring of me. But on the weekend I celebrated it with my family. Basically it was a day filled with cheesy empanadas and one direction cupcakes.

5 Cutest Dresses for Spring!

Happy First Day of Spring! I know, I'm not the only one who has been waiting for this day. The long wait is over an warmer weather is slowly returning. With spring in full swing, it's always nice to have a fresh start for the new season and add new, exciting pieces to your closet! Dresses have always been a staple of mine and there a nice way of dressing up without being over the top. I decided to hunt for dresses perfect for any spring occasion!

1: The Cutout Dress: Cutouts are a trend I've noticed more often now. However if you want to try the trend but aren't too comfortable with huge slits all over a dress (like me,) a simple cut on the back of the dress will do just fine!

2: Lace: Lace will always be classic and perfect for any event. Parties or just a casual outing. Especially when it's a bold flower print!

3: Floral Slip Dress: Slips are easy to wear layered or just alone. I've noticed this trend rise recently and it's definitely something different. These lingerie 'esque'

4: Patterned Slip Dress: Similar to the last slip but the dress isn't as tight and is more casual.

5. Maxi Dress: Maxi dresses come in so many different varieties, but way better way to welcome the season than with a bold and colorful print all along the dress? (Nothing really.) It's a fun twist as apposed to your basic black maxi.

Skulls,Studs, And More Skulls.

Don't we just all wish we could live in summer forever? Well, I do anyways. To me this summer (style wise) has been all about circle skirts! So I took my favorite orange skirt, and for the first time ever, wore it with my bustier that I got back in December! I also tried curling my hair like Ariana Grande from a YouTube video I found. Sadly, my hair isn't long enough for it to look completely like I wanted to. For some reason, this outfit reminded me of her!

What I'm Wearing: Circle Skirt, Crop Top (Similar), Shoes, Jewelry is from Etsy, Purse (Similar).

Girly Meets Edgy

I've been in New York for a while now, so for the rest of my time being here all of my outfit posts will be photographed on the streets. I'm not even Manhattan but the streets of Queens definitely have a lot more going on then back at home in Pennsylvania. Back home all you can see are trees as well as the occasional chicken. Despite how fun seeing a chicken in your neighborhood must be, the streets of queens flourish with life in every corner. And of course all of the pizza located less than a block away.
My style differs from day to day, depending on my mood mostly. I can be dressed all girly in heels and each strand of hair curled perfectly. Other days, I feel like wearing my toughest pair of shoes and a denim shirt with just a bun in my hair. But for today, there was a mixture of both those elements in this outfit. My style can be crazy, but for the most part fashion itself is about creating yourself and being who YOU are.

 What I'm Wearing: H&M High-Low Dress//  Military Jacket //Clutch (different color) // Boots

Make your style your own, and stand out from the crowd. That's basically what I live by each day.

Bright Pink Outfit of The Day

It feels as if i haven't blogged in such a long time! Well, getting back into the swing of things, the first official day of summer is approaching and it doesn't feel like it is at all. It was a really cool day and the was very cloudy. So instead of wearing pants , I opted for a long maxi skirt so I'd still be somewhat warm. I didn't want to do many things today so the skirt wouldn't be getting in the way.
What I'm Wearing: JcPenny Maxi Skirt, H&M Skull tank, Steve Madden Sandals, Tiffany Heart Necklace, ( The bag is my mom's lol )

I asked my mom to braid my hair and this happened. I actually really like it, and it adds to the boho/edgy vibe i was trying to recreate.

Denim Dreams

So recently I've been becoming more and more obsessed with denim. I've been using my denim vests and jackets more than usual.  More particularly, I've been eyeing denim overalls. Something about them making a comeback makes me love them! Recently I just ordered a pair online because of my impatience to actually go to a store and buy one. I can only imagine the amount of ways I can dress them up, or down. And I also really love that denim dress. How more cute could it be ?! Anyways, you've had enough of my complaining. Hope this board gave you some inspiration to go out and buy some denim, as I am!

Sneaker Savvy

I recently just became obsessed with my newest purchase from Charlotte Russe. I think I'm actually a little late behind on this trend of sneaker wedges. But being exactly on top of of each trend isn't my highest priority though. I truly believe this shoe is is my personality. Is that isn't weird! It has glitter, a super high wedge and the ultimate comfort of a sneaker all in one. I wore for the first time recently and took some pictures in my backyard. I tried keeping my outfit light today. Comfort was the inspiration behind this look. Lastly, these shoes were SO comfortable i didn't even feel pain as if i would with another pair of wedges the same height. These shoes gave me the support I needed but I still looked "chic" because of the obvious heel.

What I'm Wearing: Sneaker Wedges, Skater Dress (Similar, mine is from a while ago), Handbag.

Stay Chic xo,
Christina.

Memorial Day Weekend

As the burning flames of the grill cooled down and the stars in the sky lit up the night sky, the days of remembering our veterans came to an end. I hope everyone enjoyed they 3-day weekend! Mine was spectacular. My family and I hosted our own bbq with family and I photographed the entire time! Then the next day we visited another barbecue for some more burgers and hot dogs. (My faves are cheeseburgers)

Well, it's tuesday and i knew the weekend was long over by the time i woke up this morning knowing that school was the only thing i had to look forward too. It's really good that I'm almost done with finals in a few days. And I have so many plans this summer that I'm looking so forward to! This past weekend was amazing! Cheeseburgers+beautiful sun=Happy Christina. The prefect recipe!

My outfit was inspired by the colors red white and blue ;). And I manged to get some sun and forget about the troubles of the dreaded finals I have to take this week, well tomorrow actually. But i also caught up with some old family members and bask in the good old days, when were all together. Well, this turning out pretty cheesy so here are some pics in recap of this weekend.

Must Haves for Every Purse!

I like to declare my self as a purse-aholic. But it's a very purse-onal problem.(Did you get my pun?No ? Awks)

This whole post is dedicated to the love , addiction I have with purses. These are the things I believe you certainly can't live without inside of your purse. First things, first- my purse is studded all over <3

The basics are your phone, wallet and a small chap stick/lip gloss. No matter the size of your purse these should be here at all all time. In your wallet you should have your cards that are going to be used everyday( I.D, license, metro card.)

Some next key items that I see myself having use for everyday are lotion and hair spray. I recommend travel size products so you don't have to lug around such large things. If you're a klutz like me, band aids are also a necessity.

I really should carry around a makeup bag.... I also don't recommend carrying round your nicest or most expensive makeup. The makeup I carry around is mainly cheap and things I wouldn't mind if they broke. The little pocket on the side of your bad is where i store everything. In that pocket i have:
  • Travel Powder Brush
  • Pink Revlon Lip Gloss
  • Sally Hansen Nude Lip Gloss
  • "Sweet Mint" EOS Lip Balm
  • "Grapevine" Maybelline Baby Lips
  • Rimmel London Lipgloss "Captivate  Me"
  • Express Lip Gloss/ Perfume Duo
  • Ulta Blush "Girlie"
  • Wet n Wild mascara
  • Cover girl Lipstick Darling

Some random "staples" to my bag are a flashlight, house keys and a bracelet, (In case I'm not wearing enough accessories)

Lastly, you need a mirror in your purse. It is necessary to check your makeup and hair throughout the day! I own a vintage mirror that my mother gave to me. An old random woman gave it to her saying she used it in the 50's and it had a little compartment with powder in it.

SORRY THESE PICTURES SUCK SO BAD!! My camera broke :(
I hope you enjoyed and remember to add some of these items into your bags!
Stay Chic!
