As the burning flames of the grill cooled down and the stars in the sky lit up the night sky, the days of remembering our veterans came to an end. I hope everyone enjoyed they 3-day weekend! Mine was spectacular. My family and I hosted our own bbq with family and I photographed the entire time! Then the next day we visited another barbecue for some more burgers and hot dogs. (My faves are cheeseburgers)
Well, it's tuesday and i knew the weekend was long over by the time i woke up this morning knowing that school was the only thing i had to look forward too. It's really good that I'm almost done with finals in a few days. And I have so many plans this summer that I'm looking so forward to! This past weekend was amazing! Cheeseburgers+beautiful sun=Happy Christina. The prefect recipe!
My outfit was inspired by the colors red white and blue ;). And I manged to get some sun and forget about the troubles of the dreaded finals I have to take this week, well tomorrow actually. But i also caught up with some old family members and bask in the good old days, when were all together. Well, this turning out pretty cheesy so here are some pics in recap of this weekend.
Stay Chic, xo Christina.

How I Style High Waisted Shorts
What another lovely week this has been turning out to be! I'm totally kidding, I've been slowly melting all week and it's only Wednesday. Hotter weather tends to mean higher shorts in my opinion. Recently I just bought some new pairs from Forever 21 and these blue and red shorts are my fave! I really think they go with everything. I think the key to matching patterns is making sure the top is a solid color. Patterns make a statement all in their own so you don't have to over accessorize and add pointless other things. You could have the most simple outfit but the patterns within it give it some pizazz. My peach collared top is also from Forever 21. And Lastly my brown strappy sandals are from Chinese Laundry. I also kept it simple by wearing my favorite/quickest hairdo a ponytail (: It's still blazing hot out so keeping my hair up also kept me cool.

School ends for me this week so this leaves me more time to blog ^____^
Have a great week and stay chic,

The Higher The Bun, The Closer to Heaven.
On a daily basis, I'm known for rocking a sock bun at the very top of my head. I rarely have my hair down because of how hard it is to style (curse my curly locks!) However, since my hairstyle never really depends on my mood, I wear my nicest outfits with a bun. I know for some people, dressing up also means their hair, but I'm dressed up 99.9% of the time to it doesn't apply to me.
Today was kind of (not really) warm today! So of course I wore a dress. This dress and blazer are from JcPenny.I like dresses that come with belts already so that i don't have to pay an extra 12$ for one. The blazer also makes it look more chic and business casual, even though I'm only going to school. The polka dots on the cuff of my blazer add an unexpected pop!
Did I mention this was a peplum dress?! Peplum has been one of my favorite trends. And I'll probably be wearing them 'til the day I die! They give the illusion of curves (not saying i need them) but it helps! and to me they are just as girly as a flowy skirt/dress.Another really cool thing about this dress are the leather patches on the side!
For accessories: I'm wearing my Tiffany&Co. necklace(that never leaves my neck), a gifted bracelet and I got my rings from a flea market for 5$. My snake skinned clutch/cross body, which can be worn either way is from the online shop my little black bag. Lastly My shoes are from Burlington coat Factory. I got them on sale for 10$! Oh how I love bargains.

Spring Wishes
Warehouse , $61 / Elastic shorts / Coco's Fortune pleated maxi skirt, $83 / Diesel , $275 / Wedge boots / Aztec wedge, $38 / Gathering Eye spike necklace, $26 / Essie nail polish, $21 / Naked Palette
Today's post are the things really want for the new season. It's finally warming up! Which calls for some additions to my wardrobe.First things first, maxi skirts! "You can never have too many maxi skirts"-Me. It's very smart quote that I completely agree with. I adore this ombre skirt and i can only imagine all the outfits you can create with them! And you always need your LBMS (little black maxi skirt ;)
Shoooooessss! I love that word! I've been wanting a pair of ankle booties forever! And I'm not exaggerating that. I simply cannot get over the color and style of these coral boots from Diesel, but the price :( *Sigh*. And since its warming up a wedge sandal is definitely a new must. Who doesn't love Aztec prints on their clothes ?! They're even better on your shoes.
Am i the only girl who doesn't own a naked palette by urban decay? I surely think so. But if i don't have one now, it might not ever happen. I'm also terribly bad at using eyeshadow. WHOOPS. More Coral?!! That's a yes! coral is the prettiest spring color for your nails in my opinion! What women doesn't like spikes? No women! Spikes are such an amazing detail to a piece of clothing and it'd be even more amazing for me to wear it around my neck.
Last but not least those shorts..... I LOVEEEE the pattern. I'm not really a pants or shorts* type of girl ( I guess I don't like feeling restricted, ha ha) but this pair i would definitely wear! I would also wear it with that *ombre* denim faded shirt. Denim is also a fave trend of mine.
As you can see i may ask for a lot ! I think its okay to dream though lol.Stay Chic.
xo, Christina.
