Lavender Loves: Platform Shoes

Hey loves! It's been a while since I've made one of these posts. In case you aren't aware with what these posts are about, Lavender Loves is all about a certain item I am completely obsessed with. Well, I love a lot of things (music,batman,doughnuts..) but these consist of clothing items! 

In today's installment, I'm raving about Platform shoes!

While New York Fashion week was in motion, I noticed that a lot of runway looks included some sort of platform in their footwear. Whether it be in their heels, or an outrageous platform! It can be really hard to recreate runway looks, but you just need to find the right pieces.

Given my love for magazines, I picked up the most recent edition of InStyle. It's March issue had some very helpful advice about platform shoes and how it's one of this season's latest trends.

My favorite pair of platform shoes are my platform heels from H&M.

Personally, I would wear these shows no matter what season it is, and I think they make any look ten times more interesting.

Like most of my obsessions it has something to do with looking effortlessly classy.

One of my favorite shows ever has to be The Carrie Diaries. I have the exact same ambitions as Carrie, and she always manages to look chic and put together. Her character is constantly seen with heels. I would gladly wear them everywhere but I feel like that would be a little much.

Lavender Loves: Clutches!

My whole life, I've loved purses. From a young age you would see my carrying a purse on a daily basis. Probably containing my Nintendo DS and a jumble of other useless non sense. Now, not much has changed. I love finding the right purse for an outfit. My heart has always been attached to Large handbags I can fit my life into. And although I wouldn't have it any other way, there is just something so elegant and chic about a clutch

They can be worn day to night, dressed up or down. I just feel like holding a purse in one hand automatically makes me more of a woman who's ready to get things done.

My favorite one of the moment (middle photo) is actually from eBay. It has gold heardware which makes it look more expensive than what it really was. And it's the perfect brown shade that will just about match anything!

Lavender Loves: Headwear!

Every week I'm obsessed with something new! This happens to change literally every single week, and instead of obsessing alone, I decided to share my obsessions on my blog! This week its all about headwear.

Fall is completely underway and there's nothing left to do but enjoy it while it lasts! While the weather begins to get colder, that means it's time to break out the hats,beanies and head wraps!

If your hair is as wild as mine, these help with hiding crazy and frizzy hair. If you've noticed, recently I've worn my black brimmed hat most often. It adds a classic factor to any outfit, no matter how much it actually isn't. Beanies on the other hand are all for the laid back and edgy looks. Head wraps to me, are a last resort to a really dressy outfit. You can't really wear a beanie with that, so a headwrap is definitely the way to go.
